Our main campaign, in October, is scheduled for October 5-10 2026.
All volunteers pay their own two-way airfare to Peru. Once in Lima, SoPA picks volunteers up at the airport. Lodging, transportation, and food expenses are paid for by SoPA for the duration of the medical campaign.
However, we need volunteers to travel on our two smaller missions in the late spring/summer each year, and also with all the work we do stateside to get ready.

We are thrilled to announce that in 2023 SOPA attended to over 3,729 patients over the course of two mission:
A mini-campaign to Pampas Grande
A campaign to Sihuas and Chinchobamba, in the province of Ancash
We provided over 5,000 services, including 28 surgeries.

NEW YORK, NY, August 31, 2018 –– Soul of the Peruvian Andes (a registered 501(c)(3) charity organization in the United States) has launched a new website, www.SoPACares.org.pe. Via this new website, the citizens of Peru can connect with SOPA and its mission of helping the people of the Andean section, specifically at this point the Province of Castrovirreyna in the State of Huancavelica.
The new site looks and feels like the original United States-based site, except that it is delivered in Spanish and enables Peruvians to donate to SOPA’s charity counterpart directly in Peruvian Soles. This site will be updated frequently to keep donors and volunteers up-to-speed on everything SoPA does throughout the year, including our annual mission each October to Peru.
